virgin islands

joshua and i just got back from thr virgin islands! we went to visit my parents. they hadn't seen joshua since he was about a month old, and boy, has he grown! they were so happy to have him aboard their home, a sailboat! joshua did so well... he was so good on the plane. he loved the wind in his face and rocking in the sea. he loved watching the birds and the waves. and, he loved reading with grandmommy and singing with granddaddy!

my parents were expecting a baby who could barely sit by himself when they created lots of "safe places" for joshua to play and sleep. while, he could barely sit a few weeks ago, these places would have worked wonderfully, and they did the first couple of days. however, joshua just started crawling a week before we got there, and now, he learned to pull himself up! the barriers to keep him safe were no longer going to work because he quickly figured out how to climb up over the top!
