preparing your fields

we just watched that movie, "facing the giants" last night, and it was phenomenal! if you haven't heard about it, apparently a church in georgia put together this movie, and through donations, managed to get it all the way to the "big screen". it's about a high school football team that isn't doing so well until the coach re-focuses the whole team from winning to honoring God. there's TONS of awesome messages in this movie, but my favorite part was when the bible teacher talks to the coach about not only believing God, but believing God enough to prepare your fields for the rains. he says that God will send the rains when you are ready, but... are you ready? have you prepared your fields for Him to send the rains? if you haven't yet prepared your fields than you haven't stepped out in your faith. i don't know about you, but i have too many fallow fields. i tell myself i have faith, but am i truly believeing God if i don't plant my seeds and prepare for the rains to come?
